Another coastal Maine painting, but I have to say I was happy with these blues and greens. They just seem pleasing to me. Coastal colors are always interesting and always change not just season to season, but it seems sometimes, day to day!

Not Quite Ready

These beautiful oranges are from a recent trip to California. If anyone saw me taking close up photos of oranges, they probably wondered if I ever saw them before. Well, we don't have the privilege of having citrus growing like this in the northeast, and I always wanted to paint some in all their glory, on the trees with leaves! So, here is the first of maybe many more!

A seasonal color scheme, this was an older pomegranate that dried and had lots of great plains and
angles. Because of this aging, it made for lots of shadows and was a fun, fast sketch I attempted.
