Water - Fragments

This is a first in a series of abstracts I am attempting to do. I wasn't sure how this would work out, but I have to say I am pleased with the result. This is a water reflection, embellished a little, but pretty accurate. I am intrigued with water patterns and color reflection. This is painted on gessobord, leaving a border of the original surface untouched. I have more planned and look forward to experimenting on a variety of fragmented abstracts.

A Maine beach not far from where I live, a popular place to walk. I took a little extra license in adding some color to the sky, brings a bit of tropical flair to a northern beach.
