Now I really feel like I need to escape into these paintings, as winter has geared up here in Maine. Wind chills with gusts up to 45 mi per hour, for the second time this week, and 2 feet of snow. Hard to believe this garden happens here in the summer. I'll dream on.........

I spent some time in Key West, much of the time riding my bike, exploring all the side streets and admiring all the colors and plants and architecture. Now I am spending time there, but only in my mind, painting the experience and trying to imagine being there! It's only January, but I feel the need to escape the winter, way too early. There is a lot left to go.....

I tried oil on some clayboard samples I had. It is similar to gessobord, anybody know if there is a reason they don't list oils as a medium for these boards? It seemed to work ok for me.
