This is an old painting I just pulled out and hung in my studio. I decided I liked it and will keep it around for a while. It is one of those old paintings I didn't love, so it was tossed aside. Now, about 2 years later, I am thinking it didn't deserve a spot collecting dust. I honestly had to look up an old post, because I wasn't sure if it was oil or acrylic!!

Water - Fragments

This is a first in a series of abstracts I am attempting to do. I wasn't sure how this would work out, but I have to say I am pleased with the result. This is a water reflection, embellished a little, but pretty accurate. I am intrigued with water patterns and color reflection. This is painted on gessobord, leaving a border of the original surface untouched. I have more planned and look forward to experimenting on a variety of fragmented abstracts.
