Magnolia Sky 3
11 x 14 Oil on gessoed board
email: mcary1@maine.rr.com
This is a take on a pastel I did of the same scene. I was at a loss, forgot how to paint, so I had to
copy a successful previous painting to prove I really could paint. It is a moderate success, re-establishing that I do have some ability. I am at a wishy washy place, needing some direction. I always say to others at this point, don't think, just paint. So, that is what I am trying!!

Lavender Field
8 x 8 Oil on gessobord

I feel like I paint many of my bright colorful flower paintings in the middle of the cold and snowy winter. My idea of vitamin D, I guess.

8 x 10 Oil on canvas board SOLD

This makes me long for warm and sunny summer days. They seem so far off, so I have to lose myself in
these scenes by painting them!

After The Rain
10 x 10 Oil on cradled board SOLD
email: mcary1@maine.rr.com
This is the way these poppies in my garden looked after a rain storm. They are one of my favorite garden flowers, but don't seem to last long before they start to droop, especially if we have some rain or wind. They are so artistic and almost whimsical, I am also intrigued with the seed pods once the flowers are gone. I know they would make a great painting, too.

Here is an autumn field, glowing with light and color on the coast. Maybe a small exaggeration, but not far off in this northern part of the world!

Show & Tell
8 x 10 Oil on canvas board
email: mcary1@maine.rr.com
On the eve of our first winter storm, I thought I would post a riotous display of warm colored sunflowers. These scenes help me during the long winter months! Grin and bear it, maybe!

Autumn Hues
8 x 8 Oil on canvas board
email: mcary1@maine.rr.com
One of my favorite walks through woods and fields here has benefits all times of the year. In the spring, the grasses get tall and the trails are mowed, so you feel like you are in a maze. By the end of the summer and into early fall, the wild grasses and flowers turn to golden hues, along with the Queen Anne's Lace and shades of white.

Wish I Could Stay Awhile
12 x 12 Oil on stretched canvas

This was a road along the coast on some private property. The road was beckoning, but I was unable to pass. The ocean was to the right, a perfect setting, not uncommon in these parts.

Maine Landscape #22, Marsh Road
8 x 10 Oil on stretched canvas
email: mcary1@maine.rr.com
I found these fall colors in the marsh along with the telephone wires to be intriguing. The clouds and sun helped with the decision to paint this scene.
