Marsh Colors

I always start a painting with the guide words " go loose", but I have been finding myself going tighter and too detailed lately. So, I took this photo, bigger brush and found an old unhappy painting on a canvas board and went for it without worrying about outcome. I like the abstract quality and brush strokes. Much happier, great lesson, hope to continue this way.......

Low Country Marsh

I am on vacation at my sister's in So. Carolina. I brought some acrylics with me, I haven't painted with them in a while, but thought they would be easier to transport. I did this quick sketch, big problem was I didm' have any white!! I think I learned, I do better when white is available!!
