A Cherished Life

This is another one brought over from my old blog. I really enjoyed painting this mysteriously interesting sculpture. She is in a local cemetery, a reminder of the Victorian era when memorials were meant to be great works of art, rendered by talented artisans, many from Europe. This was a snow covered winter day, and when I got home and downloaded the digital pictures, I could see her eyes are blue, and her lips are red. Very intriguing, but left me with a lot of questions.......
