Maine Landscape #21, Monhegan Pines

8 x 8 Oil on cradled gessobord
These tall trees look massive because a lot of the house was hiding behind them, but they were majestic with the ocean and clouds all sparkling on a sunny day!

Nest of Eggs

8 x 8 Oil on cradled board
This an older painting I have resurfaced. I have always liked it, and seeing the holidays have slowed down my production, I thought to repost it, maybe it will catch someone's interest this time around!!

Maine Landscape #20, Southwest Harbor

8 x 8 oil on cradled gessobord  SOLD
Another coastal Maine painting, but I have to say I was happy with these blues and greens. They just seem pleasing to me. Coastal colors are always interesting and always change not just season to season, but it seems sometimes, day to day!

Boothbay Gardens

8 x 10 Oil on canvas
Memories of warmer days, one of those scenes I seem to return to. Some times I paint a scene and think how new and exciting that was, only to realize I have painted it 3 times before. I won't try to explain it.

Christmas Cove

12 x 12 Oil on gessobord
These rocky coasts I keep returning to, they are a breathtaking part of Maine. The inlets and islands are plentiful, sometimes rounding the corner offers a new surprise.

Not Quite Ready

12 x 12 Oil on canvas board
These beautiful oranges are from a recent trip to California. If anyone saw me taking close up photos of oranges, they probably wondered if I ever saw them before. Well, we don't have the privilege of having citrus growing like this in the northeast, and I always wanted to paint some in all their glory, on the trees with leaves! So, here is the first of maybe many more!

To Market, To Market

6 x 6 Oil on gessobord
This rooster had the air of determination, on a mission and won't be detoured. I hope he made it to where he was going!!

Shore Road

A beckoning road along the coast. Inviting one to see what lays around the bend!

Red & White

6 x 6 oil on gessobord
A seasonal color scheme, this was an older pomegranate that dried and had lots of great plains and
angles. Because of this aging, it made for lots of shadows and was a fun, fast sketch I attempted.
