Key West Green House
email: mcary1@maine.rr.com
I spent some time in Key West, much of the time riding my bike, exploring all the side streets and admiring all the colors and plants and architecture. Now I am spending time there, but only in my mind, painting the experience and trying to imagine being there! It's only January, but I feel the need to escape the winter, way too early. There is a lot left to go.....

Rainbow Farm

I started this with no real intention, except I am trying to do some more graphic/abstract themed paintings.
We will see where this goes, I am ready for trying some new directions.

This rooster had the air of determination, on a mission and won't be detoured. I hope he made it to where he was going!!

A quick sketch, I wanted to do a fast and spontaneous piece. A good exercise for me!

This is another oil I have transferred my pastel style to. A good lesson to experiment a different oil technique with.

Spring Poppies
6 x 6 Oil on canvas board SOLD
email: mcary1@maine.rr.com
This is going to be a busy summer. All kinds of events along with my son's wedding in September. Why does everything seem condensed, I think we need longer summers to fit so many special things in. Especially here in the northeast, where we try to fit too much in, in a short season. I can sense that painting is going to take a hit! I will have to record inspirations and hope to get to the easel!
