This is another of my favorites from a short while ago. I love the colors and patterns.

Reconstructed Flowers
16 x 16 Oil on cradled board
email: mcary1@maine.rr.com
Sometimes when I have been out of the studio or away, I post some paintings from the not so distant past. This is one of my abstract favorites that is worthy of a repost. Not a bad idea to let a few older ones shine again!

Reconstructed Flowers
16 x 16 Oil on cradled board

This is another painting in my series of taking an older painting and reconstructing it. This has been an interesting challenge, but fun and a great learning experience for my abstract ideas.

Reconstructed
11 x 14 Oil on cradled board
email: mcary1@maine.rr.com
I worked on a deconstructed series a while back. This is taking and old painting and reworking it, or "recontructimg" it. This is way more successful than first time around. It reminds me of a vase with bursting flowers.

Deconstructed Shadows
18 x 18 Oil on cradled canvas
email: mcary1@maine.rr.com
FINI! I think.... I am pretty sure I could keep finding things to correct, but for now I am done. I will have to reshoot this in different light, the colors are not that accurate. This is showing way too blue, the shadows are really a grayer color, I will repost when I get it right.

Island Reconstructed
8 x 10 Oil on gessobord
email: mcary1@maine.rr.com
Another in my "deconstructed" abstracted series. I liked the sky and how it worked in this painting, the more I do and explore with this style, the more comfortable and happy I have been feeling.

Hosta In Vase
12 x 12 Oil on board
email: mcary1@maine.rr.com
Another in my deconstructed series. Still experimenting and finding my stride in this new series, but I have endless ideas and not enough time to paint. This is a good exercise in slowing me down, a lot more planning and thinking about painting.
