I always find it interesting that I continually go back to the same subject of a painting I enjoyed previously painting. These orange trees from California are an example, a beautiful spot in the San Diego Botanical Garden. What a lovely place, if I lived there, I would go weekly!

Vinalhaven Vista

This is a pathway on an island off the coast of midcoast Maine, Vinalhaven. En route to get here you pass many rocky, pine covered islands. They are breathtaking to see, some inhabited, many not. A sailor's dream. I'm not sure if I have to go back into this, I feel I got a little carried away with light highlites.

This is an older painting I am reposting. I am in a lull of not knowing how to paint anymore. I also am tearing my studio apart, so production is at a standstill. Sometime in the future, I will hopefully decide whether or not I really can paint again. Maybe, cleaning and purging will bring about a new start!! Time will tell!!

This little gem was from a visit to the Portland, Oregon Rose Garden this past summer. I was there at the height of the season. It was like being in a sea of roses, fragrance and color. Sensory overload, in a very good way. An easy way to fill your camera to capacity!!
